Why Choose It

Benefits of Stamped Concrete Patios

The Look of Stone for Less

Get the high-end look of natural stone, slate, brick or wood without the cost of hand-laid materials.

Built to Last

A properly installed stamped patio is one solid slab, so there are no loose pavers to shift, sink or wobble.

Low Maintenance

No weeds growing between joints. Sweep it, rinse it, and reseal every few years.

Fully Custom

Choose the shape, pattern, color and borders to match your home and how you use your yard.

Adds Value

An attractive outdoor living space boosts curb appeal and makes your backyard somewhere you actually want to be.

Make It Yours

Patterns & Colors

  • Ashlar Slate

Rectangular cut-stone pattern for a clean, classic look that fits almost any home.

  • Random Stone & Flagstone

Irregular natural-stone shapes for a relaxed, rustic feel.

  • Cobblestone & Brick

Traditional patterns that work great for borders, walkways and old-world style patios.

  • Wood Plank

Realistic wood-grain texture with none of the rot, splinters or staining.

  • Base & Release Colors

A base color runs through the concrete, and a contrasting release color adds depth and natural-looking highlights.

  • Borders & Accents

Contrasting borders, bands or medallions to frame your patio and add a custom touch.

The Honest Breakdown

Is Stamped Concrete Patios Right for You?

Pros

  • Natural stone or brick look at a lower cost than pavers or real stone
  • One continuous slab, with no weeds, sinking or shifting pieces
  • Dozens of pattern and color combinations
  • Holds up well to Missouri weather when properly sealed

Things to Consider

  • Needs resealing every 2–3 years to keep the color rich
  • Sealed surfaces can be slick when wet, so we recommend an anti-slip additive in the sealer around pools
  • Like all concrete, hairline cracks can happen. Control joints help hide and direct them
  • Repairs are harder to color-match than swapping out a single paver

How We Do It

Our Stamped Concrete Patios Process

  1. 1

    Design Consultation

We walk your space, talk through how you'll use it, and help you pick a shape, pattern and colors.

  2. 2

    Excavation & Base

We dig out, grade for drainage, and compact a solid base so your patio stays put.

  3. 3

    Forms, Pour & Color

Forms and reinforcement go in, then we pour and apply your base color.

  4. 4

    Stamping & Detailing

While the concrete is workable, we press in the pattern and hand-detail edges and seams.

  5. 5

    Cure, Cut & Seal

We cut control joints, let it cure, wash off the release, and seal it to lock in the color.

Care & Maintenance

Stay off your new patio for 24–48 hours and keep furniture off for about a week. Reseal every 2–3 years to keep the color vivid and protect against stains. Clean with a mild soap and water. Skip harsh chemicals and pressure washers set too high. In winter, avoid rock salt and other de-icers, especially the first year. Sand works well for traction.

Questions

Stamped Concrete Patios FAQ

How long does stamped concrete last?

Properly installed and maintained stamped concrete can last 25 years or more. Regular resealing is the biggest factor in keeping it looking new.

Is stamped concrete better than pavers?

It depends on your priorities. Stamped concrete usually costs less, won't shift or grow weeds, and needs less upkeep. Pavers are easier to repair one piece at a time. We're happy to talk through which fits your project.

Is stamped concrete slippery?

Sealed concrete can be slick when wet. We can add an anti-slip additive to the sealer, which is especially worth it around pools and on steps.

Can you do pool decks?

Yes. Stamped concrete is a popular pool deck choice, and we can add anti-slip texture for safety.
